Barry Goldwater — a five-term Republican senator from Arizona and a presidential candidate in 1964 — was an unabashed lover of the great outdoors, especially of Arizona and its Grand Canyon. Photography was his greatest passion and he possessed over 15,000 images upon his death. In recent years, his granddaughter, Allison Goldwater Ross, has preserved and shared these images at various venues across Arizona. Read on:
